<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device having a mechanism for performing both-side printing or changing a printing speed, having improved reliability with less printing wastes including a carrying error and improved printing quality by identifying or setting whether the quality is enough to endure both-side printing or high speed printing or not. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming device comprises a printing system speed instructing means for instructing either a both-side printing system or a single-side printing system and a printing speed on request from an operator or a high-order device, a printing system control means for controlling the both-side printing system or the single-side printing system as instructed, a printing speed control means for controlling the printing speed as instructed, and a low speed printing instructing means for instructing a printing speed lower than the printing speed instructed by the printing system speed instructing means, to the printing speed control means, when the printing system speed instructing means instructs the both-side printing system. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
