PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tilt sensor capable of reducing and adjusting a damping force due to viscous drag of liquid against vibration of a pendulum. SOLUTION: When a case in which liquid is contained vibrates, a ball 3 rolls on a rolling contact surface 5 formed on an inner wall in the case 1, thereby, a pendulum 2 turns around a rotation axle 9. Since through holes 14a, 14b penetrating in rotation direction are formed in the pendulum 2, a damping force due to viscosity of liquid works on the pendulum 2 when the pendulum 2 is turned. By changing the configurations of the through holes 14a, 14b, for example, the specifications such as the number of through holes, passage cross-section, and tilt, the level of damping can be easily adjusted and adjustment of vibration response frequency range and response time as a sensor can be made.
