<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a synthetic resin bottle with a high strength to buckling while conveying properties and operating properties are favorable without separately providing a handle or the like in using the synthetic resin bottle which has a body equipped with a bottom part and divided into an upper body and a lower body by a constriction. <P>SOLUTION: The bottle 1 has the domed upper body 4 connected to the lower body 2 equipped with the bottom through the constriction 3, a shoulder 5 going round the upper end of the upper body 4, and a cylindrical part 6 connected to the shoulder 5. Two recesses 4a opposing along the peripheral direction are provided on the back side of the upper body 4, and a site formed between them is made as a grip G, and vertical ribs 4r are provided on step face f1 formed on the front sides of the recesses 4a.
