A technique for the prolonged epidural anesthesia in the aged patients for laparoscopic cholecystectomy provides for the puncture of the epidural space at the level of the thoracic vertebrae VII-X. 5 mL of 0.5% solution of Bupivacain is administered to the epidural space. The peridural catheter is inserted at the level of the thoracic vertebrae V-VI. 10-20 mL of 0.5% Bupivacain solution is injected depending on the body length. |
