PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication system that transmits an OFDM modulation signal including a plurality of kinds of synchronizing signals so as to realize improvement of synchronization detection accuracy and optimization of demodulation timing and to provide its receiver. SOLUTION: The receiver that receives a transmission signal, where a frame synchronizing signal is arranged for each frame, a packet synchronizing signal is arranged for each slot of a reservation area and a packet synchronizing signal is arranged for each transmission block of a non-reserved area, uses a frame synchronization detection circuit that detects the frame synchronizing signal to maintain frame synchronization, and uses a packet synchronizing signal detection circuit that roughly adjusts demodulation timing in response to the count of a frame counter, detects the packet synchronizing signal in each slot, and controls demodulation timing with high accuracy and demodulation timing in response to the detected packet synchronizing signal in the non-reservation area. Thus, the receiver can optimize demodulation timing and reduce an error rate of demodulated data. |
