Invention relates to combined types of machining the hard-to-machine materials. The method of plasma-mechanical cutting includes rotation of billet, working the latter by cutter, connecting the reference point of plasma arc with the surface of cutting for warming-up and weakening of the cut off layer by cathode spot of plasma arc. The surface of cutting in this case is cathode. The uniform warming-up of the cut off layer in depth is the technical result.
