A smart card is presented to perform download and upgrade of data and software easily by extending communication function, and to develop a new application. According to a smart card installed in a mobile communication terminal, a card memory(130) is recorded with smart card information. A card control part(110) controls data input/output of the card memory, and communicates with a host processor of the mobile communication terminal by processing a protocol, and executes an application program. An NFC part(150) performs data communication with an external communication module as processing proximity field communication protocol, and transfers data between the card control part and the external communication module.
