The invention relates to a process for concentrating epothilones in a culture medium for the biotechnological preparation of these compounds, the process comprising microorganisms which produce these compounds, wherein one or more cyclodextrins are added to the medium as the complex-forming component. The culture medium and process for the production of epothilones are described too.
