The incandescent lamp has a lamp bulb (2) hermetically sealed with a filling of inert gas and a halogen-containing additive. A luminescent member is arranged in the interior of the lamp bulb. A web (10) is provided, which is supported on both sides of the wall of the lamp bulb. The web is made of glass, particularly quartz glass. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing an incandescent lamp.
