<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent deterioration in the accuracy of measurement caused by contamination of a fluid temperature sensor in a flowmeter for an internal combustion engine. <P>SOLUTION: The flowmeter comprises a first heating resistor, a second heating resistor for cutting off the heat transfer from the first heating resistor to a housing, a temperature measuring resistor provided between the two heating resistors, and a means for calculating a flow irrelevant to fluid temperature from the temperature of these resistors and electric currents supplied to the heating resistors. The flowmeter has the advantages of being able to downsize the sensor, facilitate to provide space for installation, reduce pressure loss, and reduce manufacturing cost. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
