PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a projector allowing freer movement of a pointer graphic that displays, overlapping on a projected image. SOLUTION: When this projector 1 displaying the pointer graphic, indicating an arbitrary portion on the image projected onto a screen S continuously, receives prescribed instructions in a predetermined order by depressing, or the like, of cursor keys of a remote controller 10 in prescribed order by a user, the projector 1 performs processings for continuously changing the position of the pointer graphic on the projection image such that a track of the pointer graphic draws a prescribed shape, such as, a circle or a straight line. A presenter by operating the remote controller 10, freely moves the pointer graphic, for example, makes the track of the pointer graphic draw the shape, such as circles or straight lines at arbitrary positions, so as to readily enhance a desired portion on the image.
