1,227,919. Locks. ALPINE A.G. 3 Nov., 1969 [13 March, 1969], No. 53887/69. Heading E2A. Keys 3 are retained in locks 2 until a master lock 10 is unlocked and a timer 5 has run down. This is achieved by a pair of apertured discs 8, 9 having holes 6 which must be aligned with bolts 7 of the locks 2 before the keys can be released. Disc 8 is restrained by the bolt 11 of lock 10 until this is released when it may be rotated to the aligned position by lever 4 against spring loaded detent 13. Rotation of lever 4 rotates a hub 19 having a lug 20 driving a U-shaped lever 24 connected to the clock spindle 22 and to the disc 9 at 31. When the timer has run down, a mark on disc 8 appears at a window. Several main locks may be employed. |
