PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a PDP capable of reducing the used amount of a priming particle emitting powder. SOLUTION: The PDP is provided with a pair of substrates arranged opposing each other via a discharge space, a plurality of display electrodes on one substrate and a dielectric layer covering the display electrodes, a priming particle emitting layer on a surface of the dielectric layer contacted with the discharge space, and further a plurality of address electrodes crossing the display electrodes. The priming particle emitting layer is made of a priming particle emitting powder, with the maximum particle size of aggregates being 20μm or smaller. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
