PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a venting and insect-proof accessory which implements a water-proof and insect-proof function by a simple structure, is easy to manufacture, excellent in workability, low in cost, and has an appearance that does not cause a discomfort feeling. SOLUTION: The venting and insect-proof accessory has a furring strip fixing piece 2 and a furring strip lower end face abutting piece 3 extending from one edge of the furring strip fixing piece almost at right angles. The furring strip lower end face abutting piece has vent holes 5 formed therein at locations facing to a venting layer formed between furring strips. Further the furring strip lower end face abutting piece has arranged thereon louvers 6 which each secure a venting gap 7 having an opening 8 at the tip, for being opposed to a wall substrate, and at the same time covers the vent hole from outside.
