PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a three-dimensionally shaped object where after the formation of a sintered layer, when cutting removal for either a surface part or an unrequired part in a molding produced heretofore is performed, highly efficient cutting can be performed even if a fine cutting tool is used. SOLUTION: In accordance with the size of a cutting tool 41 used for cutting removal, the coating thickness of a powder material fed for forming a sintering layer 11, the energy amount and condensing diameter of the light beam L to be applied, and the particle diameter of the powder to be applied are set.
