FIELD: engines and pumps. ^ SUBSTANCE: invention relates to space-system engineering and can be used for multiple launching of liquid-fuel and gas rocker engines incorporated with the spaceships and orbital manned stations, as well as in testing the said engines at test benches. The proposed method consists in filling the spark-plug chamber with fuel composed of a fuel proper and an oxidiser and igniting it by an auxiliary power source, but differs in that the said fuel and oxidiser are fed into the spark-plug chamber separately and pulse laser is used as an auxiliary power source. The aforesaid laser power is sent, focused, towards the fuel mix in the spark-plug chamber wherein a bulk electric discharge is initiated, in the reaction zone nearby the focus, to ignite fuel mix to be transformed into a plasma flame body and sent into the engine combustion chamber. The proposed device incorporating a spark-plug chamber communicating with the engine combustion chamber furnished with fuel and oxidiser feed lines, an auxiliary power source differs from the known designs in that it uses a pulse laser as the said auxiliary power source, its optical output being connected to the spark-plug chamber via an optical fiber. The laser beam comes via a focusing lens arranged in the spark-plug chamber into the reaction zone, nearby the spark-plug chamber focusing area, the spark-plug chamber being furnished with separate fuel and oxidiser inlets connected with respective fuel and oxidiser feed lines. ^ EFFECT: higher reliability of igniting fuel mix in combustion chamber of spaceship or orbital manned station engines. ^ 2 cl, 3 dwg |
