<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rolling support type base isolation device with three frames built up with one another, having lighter weight and being easier to handle. <P>SOLUTION: The base isolation device 1 comprises: a base 2; a lower table 3 supported on the base 2 so as to be movable relatively to the base 2 in one horizontal direction; an upper table 4 supported on the lower table 3 so as to be movable relatively to the lower table 3 in the horizontal direction crossing one direction; a columnar lower rotor 7 laid between the base 2 and the lower table 3 for supporting the lower table 3 so as to be relatively movable in one horizontal direction, the lower rotor 7 having an axis being inclined to the horizontal direction; and a columnar upper rotor 8 laid between the lower table 3 and the upper table 4 for supporting the upper table 4 so as to be relatively movable in the horizontal direction crossing one direction, the upper rotor 8 having an axis being inclined to the horizontal direction.
