PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To devise an opening and closing mechanism of the inner lid so that sealability does not become unstable because the packing of the inner lid is dragged and collapsed in an unstable state when closely sealing the upper opening portion of the washing tank with the inner lid while pushing the washing tank into a washing machine body. SOLUTION: A dishwasher includes the washing machine body 11, the washing tank 20 movable in a fore and aft direction to the washing machine body and having the upper opening portion, the inner lid 30 provided with the packing 35 and opening and closing the upper opening portion of the washing tank, and the inner lid opening and closing mechanism opening and closing the inner lid. The inner lid opening and closing mechanism is provided with: a pair of side end plates 31 supported movably only in a vertical direction in the inner upper portion of the washing machine body and biased upward, pushing down mechanisms 26, 27, 32, 33 secured movably only in a fore and aft direction to the pair of side end plates and moving the pair of side end plates downward as the forwardly biased inner lid and the washing tank moves rearward, and a pushing in mechanism 20b, 30b moving the inner lid rearward along with the washing tank.
