摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical disk device with which asymmetries of respective code lengths are appropriately adjusted, with respect to a wide range of code lengths extending from a short code length to a long code length. <P>SOLUTION: The optical disk device is equipped with: a recording section in which a mark and a space having predetermined code lengths are formed on the optical disk with a laser beam, and data are recorded on the optical disk; a peak value acquisition section in which peak values of respective marks and spaces for respective code lengths are acquired from reproducing signals of the optical disk; an asymmetry calculating section to calculate the asymmetries for the respective code lengths from the peak values; and a recording parameter determining section to determine the optimum recording parameter including the optimum recording power of the laser beam, wherein the recording parameter determining section determines the optimum recording power with which the asymmetries for the respective code lengths are set in a desired range, based on linear characteristics existing between the asymmetries for the respective code lengths and the recording power. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
