<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To remotely control a television display device without using a remote controller. <P>SOLUTION: A control part 4 in the television display device 2 recognizes viewer's operation by an image on the basis of an input image from a camera part 8 which photographs a viewing space. When detecting prescribed instruction operation preregistered as an instruction operation pattern 44 in a memory part 6 from the input image, the control part 4 outputs a control signal corresponding to the instruction operation to a control target portion of the television display device 2.
