It is intended to provide a cleansing preparation to be used for cleansing purposes excluding hair-washing which shows favorable foaming and texture in using on the skin, that have never been obtained by the existing cleansing agents, provides a good moisturizing effect and finishing conditions after cleansing, and makes the skin highly moist and glossy. More specifically, a cosmetic cleansing agent, which is a cleansing preparation showing little skin irritation and a high safety and being excellent in the texture in using and capable of exhibiting excellent effects of making the skin glossy and highly moist, can be obtained by adding a trehalose octenylsuccinic acid ester salt composition comprising trehalose octenylsuccinic acid ester salt, an octenylsuccinic acid ester salt and trehalose to the cleansing preparation.
