<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pretensioner for a vehicle retractor capable of increasing pushing-up force by applying sufficient pressure on a pressure receiving plate. <P>SOLUTION: This pretensioner for the vehicle retractor includes a torsion bar 250 for winding webbing around it, a gear member 550 connected with the torsion bar, a base member 500 which is connected with the gear member and through which the torsion bar passes, a cylinder 610 forming a travel guide hole 612 in the inside to supply gas when a vehicle decelerates rapidly, a piston 630 forming a rack 633 on a side face along the longitudinal direction to mesh with the gear member and move along the travel guide hole when supplying gas, a sealing action part 632 like a circular column formed integrally in a bottom part of the piston and protruding, and a sealing part 640 connected with the outer periphery of the sealing action part to seal between the piston and an internal wall of the cylinder. A locking means 510 for locking the rack of the piston is formed in the base member. Since the rack of the piston is locked in the locking means and is assembled, a proper gap (an extra space) can be formed between the sealing part 640 and a lower end of the linear travel guide hole 612. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
