A fusing unit and an image forming apparatus using the same are provided to concentrate heat on a fusing nip by preheating, and prevent damage of a pressing member by rapid cooling. A pressing roller(13) is rotatably driven. A heat transfer unit(11) is between print media. The heat transfer unit is rotatably supported and faces the pressing roller. The heat transfer unit transfers heat to a print medium(P). A pressure heating member presses the heat transfer unit on the pressing roller. So the pressure heating member forms a fusing nip. A heating source heats a pre heating position of the heat transfer unit located in an upper portion of the fusing nip. And the heating source provides heat to the pressure heating member. |
