A green fluorescent substance is provided to ensure enough band gap, to radiate the fluorescence with wide wavelength and good efficiency by using the excitation light of ultraviolet rays light-emitted from LED or LD or blue light. A fluorescent substance is a composition expression: A1-xLxAlaSibOcNd and radiates the green light by being excited through the excitation light. In the expression, A comprises at least, Ca and represents an element containing any one or two kinds or more of Ba, Sr, Mg and Zn; L shows an element containing any one or two kinds or more of Eu, Pr, Yb, Tm, Tb or Sm; and x is 0.005<x<0.20, a is 1.0<=a<=4.0, b is 0.5<=b<=2, c is 0<c<=5, d is 0<=d<=6. |
