A moving picture on demand service method is provided to delete the moving picture temporarily stored in an MPOD(Moving Picture On Demand) server after completing the output of broadcasting. A process for connecting MPOD servers(70a~70n) and joining service members by the medium of clients(40a~40n) is performed. Thereafter, viewer IDs and passwords and set-top box IDs are provided. Thereafter, set-top box IDs by MPOD servers are discriminated and stored in a set-top box(31) by the medium of a remote controller(33). A process for performing a log-in process to the MPOD servers by the medium of clients is performed. The clients select the moving pictures for downloading. The download selected moving pictures are downloaded to the MPOD servers and the downloaded moving pictures by viewers are stored temporarily to MPOD servers. The moving picture for viewing is selected among the moving pictures. Thereafter, the selected moving picture is encoded and modulated and then transmitted to the set-top box of the corresponding viewer. After completing the broadcasting output, the outputted moving picture is deleted. |
