PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the occurrence of frame aberration by matching tilting of a lens holder to be focus-controlled to the tilted posture of a disk as much as possible without adding any component. SOLUTION: A tilt correcting mechanism for an optical pickup includes a lens holder 1 and a focus control means 3 for displacing the lens holder 1 in a focus direction. The focus control means 3 includes a focus coil 4, an outer circumferential side magnet 5 and an inner circumferential side magnet 6 and a pair of yokes 7, 7. By making different intervals M1, M2 of the outer circumferential side magnet 5 and the inner circumferential side magnet 6 facing the focus coil 4, power in the focus direction can be made stronger at an outer circumferential side end portion 1b of the lens holder 1 than at an inner circumferential side end portion 1a thereof.
