<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fluorescent material with high light emission efficiency containing gadolinium. <P>SOLUTION: The fluorescent material having improved light emission efficiency can be prepared without shading of light emission of the fluorescent body by doping gadolinium to a semiconductor of the compounds of Groups II-VI. The fluorescent material having only improved energy conversion efficiency (e.g., light emission efficiency) in the state that change is not almost seen in a light emission spectrum. Quantum efficiency of the fluorescent material doped with gadolinium becomes a higher value than the corresponding value that gadolinium is not doped, and it is indicated that the light emission efficiency of the fluorescent material is enhanced by doping of gadolinium. From the measurement result of optical pumping spectrum, between the fluorescent material doped with gadolinium and the fluorescent material not doped with gadolinium, difference does not totally exist in a peak wavelength and the whole shape of the spectrum and variation is not totally generated in shading of the light emission of the fluorescent material. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
