PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To adjust the phase of pulses used for imaging not manually readjusting, but automatically at a high speed in such a case. SOLUTION: A phase adjusting device adjusts the phase of pulses for imaging based upon a digital imaging signal Sd obtained by converting an analog imaging signal Sa from an image sensor 2 by pixels, the phase adjusting device including a signal variation difference value detecting unit 11 which detects a signal variation difference valueΔS in a certain period with two sampling pulses (DS1, DS2) for each pixel for the analog imaging signal Sa; a signal variation difference value storage unit 12 which stores detected signal variation difference valuesΔSd by the pixels; an analog imaging signal waveform estimating unit 13 which estimates a waveform of the analog imaging signal Sa based upon the signal variation difference valuesΔSd in the signal variation difference value storage unit 12; and a timing adjustment unit 14 which finds optimum phases of a reference sample pulse DS1 and a peak sample pulse DS2 of the estimated waveform of the analog imaging signal.
