<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus configured such that in a photoreceptor drum 1 having a pair of drum flanges 101 and 102, front and rear, and a cylinder 100, the drum flange on this side is made to abut on a level difference section formed on this side of a drum drive shaft 106 fixed at its rear end in the image forming apparatus, and is axially positioned with the photoreceptor drum between them by a fixing member 104 from this side, the apparatus being designed so as to firmly fasten the photoreceptor drum and the drum drive shaft while quantities of deformation in the flange and cylinder of the photoreceptor drum is minimized. <P>SOLUTION: A projection 104c formed on a fixing member axially abuts on a groove 101e formed in the end of the drum flange on this side.
