PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a V-ribbed belt a flocked layer of which enters not only a rib part surface layer but also the inside of rib rubber and does not disappear by abrasion in traveling for a short period of time and which does not generate sound after traveling for a long period of time, and its manufacturing method. SOLUTION: This V-ribbed belt 1 made of unpolished rubber having a plurality of rib parts 106 extending in the belt longitudinal direction on an inner peripheral part is constituted so that flock stands on a surface of a contact part, the flock is buried inside of the rib parts 106 and becomes a flocked rubber layer 115 and its layer thickness is within a range of 35μm to 200μm from a rib surface.
