PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a workpiece holding device firmly holding a workpiece even if its cylindricity is insufficient. SOLUTION: The workpiece holding device comprises: pressing mechanisms 2 including pressing members 21 moved to the axial direction by fluid supplied to a rotating spindle 3 and pressing bodies 20 connected to the pressing members 21; a hollow main body 30 axially slidably holding the pressing bodies 20; and a collet chuck 7 having an outer peripheral slant face 7b brought into sliding contact with slant faces 20a formed on the inner peripheral faces of the pressing bodies 20. A workpiece W is held by moving a holding portion 7a of the collet chuck 7 to a direction axially orthogonal to a spindle axial center M by the pressing mechanisms 2. The plurality of the pressing mechanisms 2 are juxtaposed so as to have the same spindle axial center M and the one workpiece W is held by pressing force generated in a plurality of sections separated in the longitudinal direction.
