摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To measure a flow rate of a refrigerant circulated in a compression-type refrigerating cycle by an ultrasonic flowmeter, without affecting an ordinary operation. SOLUTION: In a pipe 3 in which the liquefied refrigerant from a condenser 5 of an outdoor unit 1 flows, the refrigerant of a gas and liquid two phase state is cooled to a liquid phase state (flooded state) by a cooling device 41. A flow rate of the refrigerant in the liquid phase state, is measured by transducers 32, 33 of the ultrasonic flowmeter 31. As bubbles are not mixed in the liquid phase state, the measurement can be accurately performed. The refrigerant after the measurement is heated to the gas-liquid two phase state before the cooling, by a heating device 41. As the refrigerant is kept in the gas and liquid two phase state again after the measurement, the measurement of the refrigerant flow rate can be accurately performed without affecting the ordinary operation.
