<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a video stream data recording apparatus which aligns the boundary of MPEG data and the sector boundary of a disk simply by registering file system information for managing the data positions and sizes on the disk without being accompanied by intricate disk access operation and makes the boundaries identifiable in a file system. <P>SOLUTION: When the effective AV data end position of the MPEG stream at the stop point of recording finish does not align to the sector end which is a disk read and write access unit at the time of recording the stream data of the MPEG 2 to a disk-shaped recording medium, an area from the end position of the AV data to the end position of the sector is recorded after performing padding by using, for example, such NULL packet data which has no video, speech and system information sopecified by the MPEG standard and with which a decoder does not perform decoding reproduction operation even if the information is transferred to a decoding and reproducing device. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
