The device (1) has a main reservoir (2) removably fixed to a secondary reservoir (3) such that a flexible connecting pipe (4) forms a loop on a side of the reservoirs that are assembled together in their installation zones of a body structure i.e. engine compartment, of a motor vehicle. The reservoir (3) has fixation units e.g. clamping bolts, that temporarily fix the reservoir (3) to the structure and a place for easily accessing a filling orifice (6) of the reservoir (3) to fill hydraulic fluid i.e. brake fluid, in the reservoir (2) through the reservoir (3). An independent claim is also included for a method for filling hydraulic fluid.
