PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication line disconnecting apparatus which electrically disconnects a network line to completely isolate a computer from a network when abnormal communication occurs, and immediately connects the line when the abnormal communication is converged. SOLUTION: The communication line disconnecting apparatus 7 is equipped with a brake switch 73 and a brake switch control section 72 for switching a network interface to a disconnected state in a case where the number of packets counted by a counter 71 exceeds a threshold for detecting abnormal communication, and for switching the network interface to a connected state while the network interface is in the disconnected state and in a case where the number of packets counted by the counter 71 is below a threshold for detecting the end of the abnormal communication.
