<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wet type brake device using a clearance adjusting member for adjusting a clearance in the axial direction of a rotating shaft to form a space portion which stores a protruded portion of a coil spring. <P>SOLUTION: The wet type brake device comprises a disc rotor 16 to be rotated integrally with the rotating shaft 11 arranged in a housing 15, a brake disc 17 opposed to the disc rotor 16, a piston means 18 for pressing the brake disc 17 against the disc rotor 16. The piston means 18 has relatively rotatable piston bodies 19, 20, a spherical body 21 for relatively isolating both piston bodies 19, 20 from each other, and a coil spring 22 for connecting both piston bodies 19, 20 to each other. The coil spring 22 has a protruded portion 23a protruded from the end face of one piston body 20 in the axial direction. The clearance adjusting member 24 is provided adjacent to the piston means 18. A non-interference space 25 is formed outside the outer peripheral edge of the clearance adjusting member 24 to avoid interference between the protruded portion 23a and another member. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
