PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a wiring pattern on a flexible circuit board from being cut by an edge part of a substrate end of an electro-optical panel in an electro-optical device having the flexible circuit board mounted at the substrate end of the electro-optical panel. SOLUTION: An electro-optical device 100 includes, an electro-optical panel 10, a flexible circuit board 30 provided with a terminal connection part 30A mounted at a substrate end of one surface side of a substrate constituting the electro-optical panel, and a case having the electro-optical panel stored therein. The case has a regulation par 102 disposed on the other surface side of the substrate in an area overlapping the flexible circuit board outward from the substrate end, and the regulation part is in close contact with an adjacent portion outward adjacent to the substrate end of the flexible circuit board or is disposed in opposition to the adjacent portion with a gap equal to or shorter than the thickness of the flexible circuit board between them, while the adjacent portion is flatly extended along an extension plane of one surface of the substrate.
