PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an opening/closing mechanism capable of easily performing both opening operation and closing operation. SOLUTION: This opening/closing mechanism comprises: an opening/closing member; an operation part for opening and closing the opening/closing member; a slider 6 so linked to the operation part as to move forward and backward and moved forward by the operation of the operation part; a biasing means 8 for biasing the slider 6 in the retreating direction; a fork-like select arm 10 formed at the end of the slider and having a first pressing part 10a and a second pressing part 10b; and an opening/closing operation part 7 linked to the opening/closing member for selectively performing a first operation to perform the opening operation by the opening/closing member and a second operation to perform the closing operation. The opening/closing operation part 7 is selectively pressed by either of the first pressing part 10a and the second pressing part 10b of the select arm 10 for performing the first operation or the second operation.
