<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a production method for producing a 2-haloimidazole compound represented by general formula (II) by using an inexpensive raw material by a simple operation at a low cost. <P>SOLUTION: A 2,4-dihaloimidazole compound represented by general formula (I) (wherein R is a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group, an aryl group, a nitro group, a cyano group, a hydroxyalkyl group, a formyl group or a carboxy group; and X is a halogen atom) is reacted with one or more kinds selected from an iodine compound, a ketone compound, an ester compound and a nitrile compound. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
