<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing device and an image forming apparatus showing improved photoreceptor filming property (contamination preventing property) in a high-speed output system, achieving low temperature fixing and good toner storage property, anti-winding property at high temperature during fixing, and sufficiently high fixing strength with a fixed sheet, and to provide an image forming apparatus capable of printing high quality images, a process cartridge, toner, carrier and developer. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus includes a fixing device fixing a visible image on a recording medium with heat and pressure, wherein the system speed is 500 mm/sec to 2,500 mm/sec, surface pressure on the fixing medium is 5 N/cm<SP>2</SP>to 90 N/cm<SP>2</SP>, the toner used for forming a visible image contains at least a resin, colorant and release agent, the toner has such melting property as represented by a smoothness Ra of 0.02 μm to 0.25 μm by heating at 150°C, and the surface occupation rate Tp of a release agent on the toner is 0.1% to 4.0%. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
