PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light-weight fastening boss of which fastening force and durability are reinforced by manufacturing a barrel part with a drawing method by using a thin metal sheet and mounting a nut to the inside of the barrel part to reinforce rigidity of a fastening part and prevent displacement and to provide the fastening boss of which connection force with a plate is reinforced by arranging an engaging projection on the barrel part or arranging a projection part on a flange part. SOLUTION: The fastening boss includes the pillar-like hollow barrel part 10 having an open surface, the flange part 30 arranged in an outer circumferential surface at a side end of the barrel part 10, a through hole arranged at a center part of another closed side end of the barrel part 10 and the nut 20 inserted into the barrel part 10.
