PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a laser device formed in a simple structure and is provided with a low-price external ground fault protector. SOLUTION: The laser device 10 is provided with a power supply 11 for discharge excitation to which an electrical power is supplied with a 3-phase AC power line. The power supply 11 for discharge excitation is provided, at the inside thereof, with three first capacitors 12a, 12b, and 12c. The laser device 10 includes the external grounding protector with a voltage measuring means for measuring voltage between each phase of the 3-phase AC power line and the ground utilizing the first capacitors 12a, 12b, and 12c, and a power shut-off means 18 for shutting off electrical power supply to the power supply 11 for discharge excitation from the 3-phase AC power line when a voltage value exceeds the threshold value as a result of comparison between the voltage value measured with the voltage measuring means and the predetermined threshold value.
