PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printing device not needing maintenance for a long period of time and conveying sheets with high precision in terminal devices such as a register, a handy terminal. SOLUTION: In the printing device, rolled paper which is coated with a polishing agent such as silica in a partial area of the surface in a constant interval is used, printing is carried out while holding and conveying the rolled paper between a printing head and platen roller, a new face is exposed by polishing the surface of the roller whose friction coefficient is lowered by being contaminated with ink or others, and stable paper conveying operation can be continuously carried out by restoring the friction coefficient of the roller.
