摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal device capable of preventing an interfacial peeling between a retardation layer and a substrate and being manufactured in a high yield. <P>SOLUTION: The liquid crystal device 100 has a pair of substrates 10, 20 holding a liquid crystal layer 50 therebetween, in which a reflective display region R performing reflective display and a transmissive display region T performing transmissive display are formed in one sub-pixel region and a retardation layer 23 corresponding to the reflective display region R is provided in the liquid crystal layer 50 side of one substrate 20.
