PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ground working machine solving problems that, a paddy working machine equipped with a land-leveling rotor, with the longitudinal length of the machine body being inevitably long, has the possibility of causing the imbalance of the front and rear weights of the machine body, leading to decline in workability by the ground working section, besides, if a soil hardness-detecting tool is set behind the land-leveling rotor, mud flow and/or water flow from the land-leveling rotor acts on the soil hardness-detecting tool, possibly leading to soil hardness detection's getting unstable. SOLUTION: The ground working machine has the following construction. In front of a center float 55 situated in between left and right rear wheels 11 on a ground working section when viewed from the front of the machine body, a central land-leveling rotor 27b is provided in between the left and right rear wheels 11. In front of a side float 56 situated behind or sideways of the left and right rear wheels 11, left and right land-leveling rotors 27a are provided behind the left and right rear wheels 11 when viewed from sideways of the machine body. A soil hardness-detecting tool 116 is provided, for detecting soil hardness on its tip going into the soil by vertically turning around the same axis as the drive shaft 70b of the central land-leveling rotor 27b, wherein the soil hardness-detecting tool 116 is set in between the central land-leveling rotor 27b and the rear wheels 11 and in front of the left and right land-leveling rotors 27a.
