PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cooling system device for an internal combustion engine suitable for suppression of an excessive rise of the oil temperature of a transmission. SOLUTION: An intermediate part of a bypass passage 11 returning cooling water as cooling medium passing through a water jacket 1 of the internal combustion engine to a water jacket 1 with bypassing a thermostat valve 3 and a radiator 4, and a downstream of the radiator 4 of a cooling water circulation passage 10 returning cooling water passing through the water jacket 1 of the internal combustion engine via the radiator are mutually connected. A bridge passage 15 establishing mutual communication between the bypass passage 11 and the intermediate part of the cooling water circulation passage 10 is provided, and a means generating passage resistance in a downstream part of a connection section of the cooling water circulation passage 10 and the bridge passage 15, for example, an orifice 17, is arranged and an oil heat exchanger 16 performing heat exchange between cooling water passing through the bridge passage 15 and oil of the transmission is arranged.
