摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a more bright multiphoton excitation fluorescence image by efficiently collecting fluorescence generated in a sample. SOLUTION: The multiphoton excitation laser scanning microscope 1 is equipped with a multiphoton excitation laser light source 3 which emits ultrashort pulse laser light; an optical scanning section 4 which two-dimensionally scans the ultrashort pulse laser light emitted from the multiphoton excitation laser light source 3; an objective lens 7 which focuses the ultra-short pulse laser light scanned by the optical scanning section 4 on the sample A; a condenser lens 21 which is arranged in a position facing the objective lens 7 across the sample A and collects the fluorescence generated from the sample A; and a photodetector 32 which detects the fluorescence collected by the condenser lens 21.
