PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a motor operated valve capable of preventing the hindrance to the actuation of a rotor or deceleration mechanism in advance by preventing the entry of foreign matters including a liquid into a can. SOLUTION: A motor operated valve 1 consists of a valve body 10 having a valve chamber 14 and a valve seat 62 formed inside the valve chamber, a valve element 61 for adjusting a passage flow of a fluid by coming into contact with and separating from the valve seat 62, a drive part 1a having a rotor and a stator for rotationally driving the rotor, a feed screw mechanism 1c for converting the rotation of the rotor into the contact and separation operation with respect to the valve seat 62 of the valve element 61, a can 30 mounted in the valve body 10 to accommodate the rotor and a refrigerant passage for communicating between the valve chamber 14 and the inside of the can 30. A foreign matter entry prevention member 81 is arranged in the refrigerant passage, thereby preventing the entry of foreign matter in the can 30 by passing through the refrigerant passage.
