PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately detect the peak temperature of the surface of a fixing roller. SOLUTION: A fixing device 40 includes the fixing roller 40A and an induction heating assembly 60A. The induction heating assembly 60A has a plurality of induction heating units 60U including an induction coil 62 and a pair of magnetic cores 64. The pairs of magnetic cores 64 of the induction heating units 60U adjacent to each other in the axial direction are disposed so that the arrangement angles in a circumferential direction are made different from each other. A thermistor 80 and/or thermostat 90 are disposed in the circumferential area where magnetic flux density is highest at the outside of the fixing roller 40A in the radial direction.
