PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing device capable of achieving efficient heating and power saving by lessening ripple of the surface temperature of a heat roller. SOLUTION: The fixing device 11 is equipped with the heat roller 12. The heat roller is equipped with base material 21 formed in cylindrical shape, a sheet heating element 22 covering the surface of the base material, and a power feeding part 24 having a power supply switching means SW. The sheet heating element is equipped with a heating part comprising a plurality of linear conductor patterns 29 arranged at equal intervals in parallel with each other and extending in the shaft direction of the base material, and first and second conduction parts 27 and 28 formed at both ends of the linear conductor pattern, and is constituted so that the heating part may generate heat when voltage is applied to the conduction part through the power feeding part. The linear conductor pattern forms a high-resistance circuit when power is supplied from the first conduction part through the power feeding part by the power supply switching means, and forms a low-resistance circuit when power is supplied from the second conduction part.
